Create Flippable eBooks with Lucidpress and FlipSnack

Lucidpress is a free web based publisher that includes a variety of artistic, user friendly templates that when completed can be saved to Google Drive. These digital documents can also be viewed on a computer, tablet, or smartphone. You can also receive feedback from coworkers and students. It's easy for students to craft beautiful documents with the drag-and-drop functionality as they publish their writings.

Signing up for teachers and students is easy. Simply go to Lucidpress and enter your name and email address. If you district is a Google Apps for Education district, students can click the "Sign up with Google" button. Once you have logged in, click "Create" and choose "Document." After that you can choose from over thirty digital templates to find the best fit to support your writings.

Some templates you might want to check out to use with student writings are the newspaper and book templates. Students can type directly on the template or type their work elsewhere and copy and paste to the template.

Once the Lucidpress template is complete is can be saved as a PDF. To turn the PDF in to a flippable eBook, students can go to a free website called FlipSnack.  At FlipSnack the students can upload their PDF and it will be transformed into a flipping eBooks. These eBooks can then be embedded in the students' online portfolios, webpages, or shared via a link.

This a great way for students' to publish their work and document their accomplishments.
